1. Introduction

Atlowest ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information and the data of your customers ("End Users") when you install and use the Atlowest App through the Shopify App Store.

Atlowest is the Data Controller for your Merchant account data and a Data Processor for your customers' data. We are a registered company/firm in India, operating under the brand name Atlowest.

2. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account via Shopify's APIs:

A. Merchant Information (You)

  • Shop Data: Store URL, email, phone number, business name, and settings. This includes the read_products scope used to sync your catalog with Atlongest.
  • Order Data: We access your shop's orders via the read_orders scope to automatically sync and fulfill orders for Atlowest products.
  • Billing Data: Information required to process subscription payments via Shopify Billing API.
  • Device Info: IP address, browser type, and OS for security and analytics.

B. Customer Information (Your End Users)

To provide our ecommerce and fulfillment services, we collect the following data about your customers:

  • Order Details: Customer name, shipping address, email, phone number, and ordered products.
  • Usage Data: Information on how orders are processed and fulfilled.

Note: We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to fulfill orders and provide our services.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

  • to provide the Service: Syncing products, processing orders, and generating shipping labels.
  • to fulfill orders: Sharing shipping details with our logistics partners to deliver products to your customers.
  • to process payments: Managing wallet transactions and payouts to your bank account.
  • to communicate: Sending you service updates, important notices, or support responses.
  • to comply with law: Meeting legal obligations, tax requirements, and fraud prevention.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share your personal information with third parties only when necessary to provide the Service. These third parties are contractually obligated to protect your data:

  • Shopify: As the host platform, Shopify processes your data according to their own privacy policy.
  • Logistics Partners: We share Name, Address, and Phone Number with courier service aggregators (primarily Shiprocket) and their downstream carriers (Delhivery, BlueDart, Ecom Express) strictly for fulfillment and delivery purposes.
  • Payment Gateways: Banking details are processed by secure partners (such as Paytm) for wallet top-ups, subscription checkouts, and payouts. We do not store sensitive card data.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and your customers' data generally for as long as you maintain the App installed.

  • Upon Uninstallation: If you uninstall the App, we typically delete your personal data within 48 hours, unless legally required to retain it (e.g., for tax or financial audit purposes).
  • Financial Records: Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 5 years as per Indian financial regulations.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location (e.g., EEA, California), you have specific rights regarding your personal information:

  • Shopify Merchants: You can access, correct, or delete your personal data through the App settings. To request full deletion, please uninstall the App. This triggers an automated "Shop Redact" webhook from Shopify, instructing us to purge your data.
  • European Residents (GDPR): You have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted.
  • Your Customers: If your customers wish to exercise their rights (access/delete), they should contact you (the Merchant) directly. As a Processor, we will assist you in fulfilling these requests when forwarded to us.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authenticate your access to the App. We may also use analytics cookies to improve our service usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including TLS inscription for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
